ABSTRACT:
Well, integrity is fast becoming an area of focus in mature fields and in fairly new wells. Ensuring the delivery of oil and gas to surface by means of a reliable integral well structure is as critical as tapping into additional reserves. Many factors affect casing integrity throughout the good life cycle. Poor integrity can lead to lost production and a reason for poor performance. We will explore some very real scenarios that have been experienced in the industry today. Fortunately, new diagnostic technology is successfully meeting the challenge and providing new data that allows operators to make informed decisions safeguarding reservoir flow.
